Community Guidelines
HushBox is a place for honest, anonymous storytelling. These guidelines help keep it safe for everyone.
Share your own story
HushBox works best when it's your own experience, in your own words. Please don't include names, addresses, phone numbers, workplaces, or other identifying details about other people.
What we don't allow
- Threats of violence and content that incites harm
- Doxxing or sharing another person's private information
- Harassment or hate speech targeting a person or group
- Sexual content involving minors, in any form
- Impersonation of another real person or organization
- Spam, promotion, or automated submissions
- Illegal activity or instructions for it
Content warnings and sensitive topics
Some confessions cover self-harm, abuse, or trauma. Creators may mark these as sensitive so readers can opt in. Please add your own content note when relevant.
Crisis support
If you or someone you love is in immediate danger, please contact local emergency services. In the US you can call or text 988 for the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline. International resources are available at findahelpline.com.
How moderation works
Every confession is reviewed by a creator or their team before it goes public. High-risk content is escalated to administrators. You can check your submission's status any time on the Track page using your private code.
Reporting
If you see something that breaks these guidelines, use the Report button on any confession, comment, campaign, or creator page. Reports are private and never shared with the person you reported.
